Our Story

With over 20 years in the building industry, Michael Zaccagnino brings his expertise and precision to every project. As owner of Mid-Atlantic Hurricane Shutters, Mike plays a hands-on role in the design and functionality of each project we take on. Building relationships with contractors & homeowners and taking the time to understand the big picture allows us to turn your vision into a reality.

Our team

Michael Zaccagnino

Michael Zaccagnino has been in the construction industry for over 20 years. He began as a factory worker on the assembly line for a window company, where he was recognized for his hard work and leadership, earning the responsibility of supervisor. He then moved on to work as a salesman for one of the country’s largest material supply companies for many years. Here, he helped the company grow into the garage door business, learning all the “ins and outs” and forging new relationships within this sector of the construction industry. Taking all he learned from his years of in-field experience he decided to open his own company in 2017 in partnership with his brother-in-law. In 2021 Mike became the sole owner/ operator of Mid-Atlantic Hurricane Shutters.

The tracks and motors for the shutters are built into the ceiling and columns such that the doors disappear when open.”
